Are you cat lover in the Wilmington, NC area? Does it break your heart to see cats in need? Do you want to help out your favorite animal?
Us too! That's why we volunteer our time to save cats.
We'd love for you to join our team by becoming a foster.
As a foster you will provide a safe home for kitties while they wait to be adopted. This includes feeding, cleaning, giving medications as needed and loving your kitties. No experience necessary because our team will help guide you.
Interested in becoming a foster parent? Submit an application and we'll get in touch.
Kittens aren't born liking humans, they're taught it! We often need fosters to socialize spicy kittens to humans.

Sometimes something happens to a mother cat or well-meaning people separate nursing kittens from her. When we can't find mom, we need dedicated fosters to bottle feed the kittens around the clock for a few weeks.
Mom does the best job raising her kittens! When we find nursing kittens and their feral mom, we keep them together until the kittens are weaned. Then if mom hasn't tamed (sometimes they do, like the mom in this picture did!) we spay and vaccinate her and return her to her outdoor home. The kittens go up for adoption as pets.
Teenager kittens (5-12 months) are a lot like human teenagers. Their personalities are blossoming and they have lots of play energy.
Adult cats are easy to foster and much less work than kittens. We always need fosters for adult cats. Fostering adults is a great way to have a temporary pet if you're not ready to commit to a cat's lifetime.
These kittens have the common fungal infection ringworm. It's treatable like many other common kitten illnesses - upper respiratory infections, wound infections, ear infections, diarrhea. It just takes medication, tender loving care and time.
